Be Accountable to Someone

With the challenge I am doing at my gym, I am also on a team with 2 other people. We don't all have the same schedule, or the same tastes in workouts. What we decided to do to keep each other accountable to "the team":
Each night we must email the two other people on our team and list what exercise we did that day and what we ate & drank. My husband also knows this and last night when I slpurged on a little fettuccini alfredo he MADE SURE I put it down! Not that I wasn't going to anyway!! We also email any good tips to each other. Its working out really well.:D
 
I totally agree. If I don't have anyone to "check in" with, I will cheat so very often! That's why I love it here, and I love my journal. As often as I can, I post updates on my day, including what I eat, how I exercise, and often just mood and daily news. Lots of us have journals here, you should check them out, maybe start one of your own :)

I also set up a text messaging thread in the Off Topic boards so that I can message some of the people here to keep in contact a bit closer. I hope its as good an idea as I think it is.
 
The messaging is a great idea! With the challenge at the gym they gave us journals to write everything down. It goes everywhere with me. During the day I am on the computer quite a bit ( for work) and always keep an open window to check my email often. One of my partners is always checking in, even though we see each other most mornings at the gym and "report in" at night. Each of us has our own issues. My biggest obstacle is'was to quit drinking. Partner 1, its what she eats and how much of it. Partner 2 its what she eats more due to a serious lack of time.
We are keeping each other check and the support is fanatsic.
