BCAAs

It is leucine, isoleucine, and valine. They are present in all protein-containing foods, especially in dairy and red meats. BCAAs are needed during intense physical stress for the maintenance of muscle tissue. They also help speed recovery. I hear many people say to take them right before and right after a workout. From what I understand, any good protein powder contains BCAAs.

Right, and ON's stuff has BCAA's in their 100% whey.

unless you actually qualify as an 'athlete'...training multiple hours a day for competitions...then no, BCAA supplementation beyond what's already in your food and protein powder isn't necessary.

they wouldn't hurt you, but it'd really just be a money sink as you just wouldn't really utilize the excess.
