BCAA's

I am currently taking BCAA's. IS there any advantage to taking them or am I wasting my money?

Also have the same question regarding Glutamine.

Keep in mind I am almost 48 years old and feel I need extra supplements as I age. I know the body production of certain things slows down with age and it is also harder for the body to recover.

Any information would be appreciated.
 
BCAA's are very good pre/peri/post workout and when used with strict diets.(low calorie)

I don't think you need Glutamine.

BCAA's are used by many fitness professionals - including some of my favorites like John Berardi and Chad Waterbury.

A general protocol would be take 5-10g 30min before you train. 5-10g peri and you can add another 5-10g in your PW drink.
