Bad Day at the Gym

Bad day at the gym today, 3 guys were sharing the squat rack for curls. People were taking my bench while I was still using it. blah blah. I couldnt' handle nearly as much weight as I normally could, which I blame on me having shaved my sideburns (I firmly believe my sideburns amde me stronger).

So, what can I do to make myself feel better?
No, drugs and alcohol aren't an option and I no longer have a girlfriend.

I can't tihnk of anytihng, can you?
 
Just keep the anger built up and use it in your next workout, then once your an Arnie sized freak people won't want to get in your way of the squat rack anymore :)
 
OMG, just from that one bad workout you'll lose 10 pounds of muscle!
Ha, that's what it feels like is happening to me right now, I didn't manage to get any sleep last night with my daughter keeping me up and now every muscle in my body is burning and shaking
 
I know the feeling about a poor workout. Yesterday, I rode on a mid-week 50 mile ride and the guys that I normally ride with, and can usually outride, were crushing me. I just had no zip and it was depressing. Thought about giving up and going back to eating bon bons and watching Oprah.

Oh well, time to turn off the "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" song by Linda Ronstadt that is going in my head and get back to work and the gym.

to feel better, just promise yourself the next workout to be one that you will give everything you possibly can so you have nothing to regret.

Just chalk it up as a bad day. And next time tell the guys curling in the rack that you want to squat and ask them how many sets you have. You'll find typically that most people curling in the rack will be positive that you want to squat and will hurry and finish or will go somewhere else to curl.
 
But those guys neeeed the squat rack for their curls. How else are they supposed to catch the weight when they fall back from rocking forward and backward while curling? geez, guys, don't you know how to curl? gawd.
 
well, to their credit, they were huge and buff.

Funny how people like me lift efficiently (or so I tihnk as I'm doing NROL), and people like them do only curls and get huge.
 
maybe they were on steroids or they are genetic beasts.

or maybe they are very advanced and they are trying to bang their biceps a little more with some iso.
 
Dang, when I had tendonitis, the doctor gave me uber strength ibuprofen. It was like 3 times the normal dose you get at the store.

Has doctor talked to you about naproxen? It's an anti-inflamatory as well that I used for tendonitis, as far as I know it worked.
 
I'm on meds, and I'm also an intellectual, I don't spell weaklings "weeklings"
