How is it going Andy? All going well for you, brotha?

I wish you the best in life and within fitness!

Chillen

All is well, friend. Thank you for asking. I have continued to work out and improve my nutritional habits. Even though I am not seeing weight drop off like I had been, I am noticing clothes fitting better, etc. In fact, one day this week I wore a pair of slacks I hadn't been able to wear in two years.

In fact, I read some of Alwyn C.'s articles, and apparently weight isn't everything. One hypothetical question he asks that is sticking with me: "Would you rather lose one pound of fat or three pounds of muscle?"

Wouldnt eat Pig meat, its the worst meat there is. Many diseases and ailments are associated to meat from this particular animal. This is a health conscious forum and thus it makes sense to take your protein needs from from meat sources. Tuna is great!

You don't want to eat pig meat, that's your prerogative. But, I'll provide some facts to go with your blanket statements:

1. Some cuts of pork are quite lean:

2. And, yes, you can get trichinosis from eating undercooked pork, but you can get other worms from eating undercooked meats as well.

3. If you have a religious reason to avoid pork - fine - but others may not share your religion.

4. And as for your tuna, here is what the US government says - consume in moderation.

Disclosure: I have no vested interest in whether peeps eat pork or not.

#5 take risks die young eh? Leave you to it. As for your US Government, they also said WMD in Iraq, dont make me laugh!

I heard from somewhere if you mix porkchops and coke and leave it alone, worms will come out. That's kinda gross.

But then again, I do know that tiny little bugs are actually in flour and if you leave the flour out for a long time, the egg hatches. It's usually gone if you cook it though. So no harm done in human.

...and yes, some cuts of pork are perfectly lean and healthy. Pork loin comes to mind.

Right on brutha! Pork tenderloin is less fatty than boneless skinless chicken breast. 2.98 grams per 3 0z versus 3.03 grams per 3 0z serving.

So easy to make, awesome on the grill(many dry rubs and flavorings available), and slice the leftovers up and throw on a salad or serve in a sandwich on some wholegrain bread with dijon mustard and some romaine lettuce. Yum.

Bacon is really good. I have noticed that pork products are often used on chicken and beef to make them taste better.

Tuna is great!

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Nothing is better than opening up a can of tuna and having the fresh scent of rotting fish on the beach waft up. That might be the best smell ever. :drooling1:

oooooooorrrrrrrrrr....... not.

chicken, chicken...and more chicken

Chicken is ok. I mean, you can have a GREAT steak or piece of beef, you can have a GREAT piece of fish or seafood, you can have a GREAT piece of pork (or meat flavored by pork) but you never really get GREAT chicken. Actually, chicken is like the rice cakes of meat, or the Switzerland of animal products. :D

"Having chicken, huh?"

"Yea."

"How is it?"

"It's chicken, you know, not terrible, not great."

Dude. I love the smell of tuna. I didn't like it at first but now i love it. You know the water inside the can, with the tuna taste. I drink that right out of the can. Yum.

Well for the pig eaters, you know that itch you get in your butt at night? Tapeworms wiggling out your the anus and laying eggs that is! what a lovely thought huh? :)

Seriously? The smell of tuna reminds me of an unclean woman. I just can't imagine any fish as a smell I love. Pizza, vanilla, certain perfumes or colognes, the grilling of steak. But tuna??? I can't think of any canned meat product that smells good.
