back to the pilates game

well...
I used to do a 30 min pilates workout at home b4 I headed to the gym for the rest of it.. but I got tired of the same thing over and over.. I was wondering if any one knows of different videos to try! I have tried the windsor pilates video.. but I found them a little advanced for me.
I'm looking to lose some weight while picking up my energy level, as well as toning out my butt, and getting rid of my nasty thighs..

any help out there
ohyeah i am on a healthy diet already just need the workout to complete the package.

Have you thought about taking a pilates class at a gym? Might be real fun. :D

Hi Manda,
Are you drinking enough water ? Do you weight train at the gym ? Could you post what exercises your performing if you are weight training ? Also you mention you have a healthy diet, which is great, but there may be some issues in your diet as well. Not implying there is, it is just a possibility. Good luck with your goals. Stay focused and you'll obtain them :) Good luck !!

jpc1058..
I dont' do weight training. I can't go to the gym around here.. i'ts too expensive and the drive is about an hour away to a good one.. so I do all my work outs at home. with what I have.. which is the floor and a situp bench.
I dont drink as much water as I should but I'm not doing enough activity in the day to drink as much as I should ( I sit in class for the better part of the day)..Just not that thirsty I guess.. lol..

The diet too could be my problem.cuz it's very small amounts of food not a lot of carbs.. mostly to lose weight fast I think.

i'm tryin hard on this one....

Manda, maybe I misunderstood your original post. I thought it stated you went to the gym. If you are interested in videos, read the training diary of LivefromNY, she is a member. I believe she does a lot of her workouts from videos. As far as water, could you bring in a container of water into class. If you wait til your thirsty before you drink, then your body is already dehydrating. You should drink water consistently throughout the day. I know it's not always easy. If possible, purchasing a stability ball and some dumbbells, could enhance your home workouts also. Is it possible for you to post a sample day of your diet ? Maybe we can help you out, if needed.

sample diet

the diet for one day --> monday is:

breakfast
slice of toast and 1 tsp peanut butter
and grapefruit 1/2 or cup of grapefruite juice
cup of tea

lunch
slice of toast
1/2 cup of tuna
tea/water

dinner
two slices any type of meat
1 cup carrots
1cup broccoli
1 cup plain vanilla ice cream for dessert

on friday, satruday, and sunday, i can eat what i wish in moderation.

Try your local library for videos - we can renew ours 15 times unless someone is waiting for it. Gives a lot of variety without being expensive!

Same thing with books.

Try one class to make sure your technique is good, and you'll get more exercises from there, too.
