Back Pains

Firstly hello first time poster :) :newbie:

I am a semi out of shape male 2 months I been walking 2 1/2 miles with my 10 year old collie named Nikki and getting us both back into shape.
I am 21 6'3 215 pounds.
I started mainly to get my old pup active and to help her as she grows older and to drop back down to 190-195 pounds for myself.

1 week ago I started to jog/walk to work my way up to running I would say I am doing about 1 mile jogging and the rest speedish walking. I judge my jog/walk based off street lengths not time. I can only do this at night after work and I really can't see a watch in the dark so its the best option for me.

The problem is after my current session (just got back in) my back is hurting a bit.
Enough to where I couldn't continue to jog.
Pain is in my lower back on the left side. When I bow or walk back straight I feel the muscle get tense and tighten up causing the pain.

Just curious if this is normal for beginners or perhaps I am running in a bad stance/position and need to fix it? I stretch for 10 mins my entire body before I do this to get the body jump started and happy.

I do this every other day except for Sunday when I fast its my "rest" day. Till my body gets use to the routine then I will increase my distance once I can take the full 2 1/2 miles.

Thanks.

never mind seems I pulled a back muscle guess I will rethink my plan.

Back pain

Hello all..1st time post. I have been running for many years and completed my first marathon back in October. I have pain in my lower back on the left side. Makes it hard after sitting for along time to get straightened up. Is this something that a chiropracter might help or is there a potential other problems?
