Hey, I just just got back from the Canary Islands last night.
I had a great time over there. There were tons of young people over there and made some friends with some German and Dutch people. The hotel was great too, i had a balcony and a great view of the beach which was only like 15 feet away once i step out of the hotel. The Beach was great, thank for top less beaches![Big grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I basically spent most of the time walking around the island going to stores, going to the beach and tanning for hours and then ended up going to a dance club Saturday and Sunday night with some friends I made at the hotel. I also ended up paying 20 Euro's for a bus to take me to the entire side of the other island which took almost 2 hours where i went to botanical gardens and more touristy stuff to take pictures.
During the Spain VS Germany game ( Euro cup ) there was literally no one on the beach or walking outside. Everyone was in the bars and restaurants watching the game and there was these German guys opposite of my balcony that were waving German flags yelling "Deutcheland" ( even after Germany lost LOL ). Once Spain the game the entire Island pretty much went insane. Fireworks going off, cars honking their horns, and people dancing outside in celebration. Soccer's a big deal here.
I ended up only eating 2 big meals a day, Breakfast buffet at the hotel and a nice restaurant for dinner. For the last 3 days I couldn't afford to eat dinner out since it would come out to 13-15 euro which translates to around 20 something dollars. Luckily, there was a local supermarket near by and i bought a bunch of bread and a jar of peanut butter for around 4 euro which i think saved me.
The breakfast buffet's were amazing!!!!!! They had everything and anything. I would end up stuffing my plate full of pancakes, eggs, waffles, some other stuff. Then i would grab a SECOND plate full of nice pastry breads and i'd top it off with a cup of orange juice and a couple cups of white coffee. My breakfasts were atleast 1500 calories ( keep in mind this was probably my only meal of the day other than some bread and peanut butter ).
I ended up losing 6-7 pounds, 2-3 of those I think were mass and I wouldn't be surprised if some of that was muscle since I don't think I was getting half of the protein i should have been getting and was doing alot of swimming. Going to be lifting hard and eating tons of protein every day for the next week to regain what I lost.
As for the plane flights, they were long and horrible.
On the way to Spain I had to take 3 different planes, and spent around 25 hours in the airport and airplanes.
On the way back from Spain i still had to take 3 different airplanes, and spent over 30 hours at the airport and in airplanes straight.
I sat next to some interesting people though..
1st - sat next to some old lady, who made me help with her carry on luggage.
2nd - sat next to a guy that goes around the world, and his job is to sell his wine to famous restaurants. He would travel to Spain, italy, france to sell his product
3rd - sat by myself
4th - some really hot spanish chick. But the flight left 2 in the morning and i was too tired to really care, plus her husband was sitting next to her.
5th - some random lady with annoying kids
6th - random guy
So yea, seems i'm missing around 16 pages of new posts and I'm not going to bother reading them all, so fill me in if I missed anything...
