Aye up folks. Finally decided to make a change in my life and do something about my weight. I currently weigh probably close to 25 stone at 6,4" so I don't look too bad due to my height but I definitely feel the effects of carrying this weight.

Last week I decided enough was enough and the first thing to go was fizzy drinks (I absolutely love energy drinks). I haven't had one since and have only had water and although I do miss the odd bottle of coke (maybe I'll drink the odd one again when I'm comfortable I'm losing weight at an acceptable rate. I've also started watching what I eat, no junk food what so ever except for on fridays or a night out, and even on fridays I try not to go overboard. I went to the gym for the first time today and spent 50 minutes on the treadmill at 4.5km/h and I think I may go again tomorrow.

As you can tell from the text above enough is enough, there are things I want to do in my life that my weight is preventing me from doing so as well as having an impact on my overall health.

On a side note the name is so that the nosy buggers I know who have a tendency to google each others user names cant find this one ^^
 
Ey up chuck! The first thing I did was cut out the fizzy drinks (which is the only thing I used to drink), and although it was hard at first craving the fizzyness and sometimes forgetting and getting a fizzy drink without thinking, I stuck to it and now drink water 99% of the time now. I only ever have a fizzy drink if I've gone out for a meal (though even then it's usually still water) or on nights out because I drink cider. It really doesn't bother me anymore and I have no cravings for it.
