Average to Fit in 120 Days! Gonna shock everyone this christmas!!!

Hi everyone. I'm starting a pretty serious health/fitness routine for the next 4 months and I think joining a community of like minded people and starting a journal will help keep me on track.

I used to be quite obese (5'10 @ 270 Pounds). I have been changing my lifestyle over the last 3 years and am now down to 198. I've been stuck here for over 1 1/2 years though, my body really likes to stay at 200 no matter how little/much i eat. My Fitness/Strength has increased a lot, but my weight stays the same.

Anyways my plan is to Juice Fast for 30 days, doing cardio 6x a week (Alternating between stairs jogging and hill jogging), pushups (100 a day/6x a week) and some basic weights (Probably just some light deadlifts/power cleans).

After that i plan to start P90x while continuing with the cardio. I will try to keep my diet 100% clean during that time (It's 80% clean now as i don't eat fast food and prepare all my own meals. I eat some ice cream and stuff from time to time but will give that up also.) I should also be growing my own sprouts by the time i start and am really looking forward to that.

Wish me luck everyone. I plan on posting each night with what exercise i've done and my progress. Will be taking my before photo tonight and will post pictures at the end.

Day 1

Day 1 went good.

I had 4 juices.

Carrot/Apple/Cranberry

Carrot/Cucumber/Dandelion (My god is Dandelion foul!)

Orange/Lemon/Lime (This was awesome)

Carrot/Apple

For exercise I did stairs jogging.
I did 5 trips in 30 mins @ 280 stairs per trip.

Gonna kick up the exercise today as I didnt feel like doing much yesterday (Always a little worn out on the first day of a juice fast)

DAY 2

Only had 3 Juices today.

A Mixed Fruit Juice
Carrot Juice
Carrot/Apple/Grapefruit/Lemon/Kale/Dandelion (The Grapefruit really covers up the horrible taste of juicing greens)

I did have some chicken since supper just looked so good. I'm doing this more for health rather than a cleanse so not a big deal if i eat a bit of protein.

Had a really good workout.

Did 8 Trips on the stairs (Combo of Jogging/Fast Walk) and then another 8 Trips of Running the First set of 50 steps. I skipped a step. Completely killed me. Spent 45 Minutes there + the 30 Minutes on the bike to get there and back.

DAY 3 & 4

Boring days. Was too busy to exercise. Stuck to my diet though.

DAY 5

Morning : Hit the Stairs again, did 6 trips. Gonna work on decreasing my rest time between trips. The Last 2 trips are very hard and i have to walk a bit here and there. Once i can jog them 6 times with the only rest being the walk down i will start alternating between running/jogging them.

Evening : Did 75 push ups while watching a movie. 3 sets of 20 and 1 of 15.

Planning to start a full body, twice a week weight routine tomorrow.

Before you spend the money on P90X you should know..

I have P90x and I love it, that being said there are a few things that you should know before you go out and spend the money (and it is expensive).and know
1. You need to already be a good shape to start there is a fitness test in the book that you get to make sure that you are even ready to start. (yes its that hard)
2. You will need weights or bands and keep in mind that the stronger you get the more you will need, a chinup bar, a yoga mat and yoga blocks if you aren't good at yoga
3. You will need to be able to work out 7 days a week some days more than an hour.
4. You will need plenty of space
5. You will need lots of motivation (it is as hardcore as it looks)
If these things sound doable to you than by all means try P90x because its awesome and you will see results and feel so much stronger.

Thanks for the tips Dafeiji

I already have P90x and have done some of the workouts. I am in decent enough shape now that I am pretty confident I can do the whole thing day in and day out, but just to be sure this is why i'm waiting for another 3 weeks. This first month is my boot camp kind of to get me ready. I built a home gym in my basement so equipment isn't an issue (Except chin ups, i have no place to do them, not that i really can yet anyways, I plan on doing deadlifts instead using the same weight that i weigh)

On to my Journal.

Day 6 & 7

Crappy days. Diet was good, lots of Juice. Too busy for exercise. Did a 15 Mile Bike ride each day as i started a 3 week job training course and will bike there and back everyday.

Day 8

15 Mile Bike Ride (So Far).

Feeling absolutely GREAT! Tons of energy, i flew home today. Gonna sit for a few and charge my MP3 player then head to the stairs. I didn't get to start my weight routine yet, but will tonight for sure.

Checked my weight and i'm at 192 right now, so down 6 pounds. Aiming for 185 for the first month (13 pounds lost) which i think is definitely attainable.

How have things gone over the last 2 weeks?
