Hello all,

Well, it's been a looong time since I've posted on these boards. I hope this finds everyone doing well. I have been on Cohen's now for almost 6 months. I am about 4-5 kilos from goal and feel really fantastic. While in the beginning I was very low energy, that has since passed. I am now full of beans all the the time. I don't miss sugar, coffee or even bread very often. Cohen's is life-changing.

Anyway, I am posting because I would love some advice. I am making a trip to Australia soon and would love to know your recommendations for the Cohen-friendliest brands.

In particular, I am after low-fat mozzarella cheese (preferably stringers), rice crackers, and greek yogurt. What brands do you use?

Many thanks in advance.

All the best to all of you :)

Hi 28+, Cohen's certainly has been life changing for you. Congratulations on being so close to goal! How exciting. Are you visiting Sydney for Christmas?
My plan is over 2 years old but I'll list what I know-
Mozzarella-I have always used the Devondale but it doesn't say low-fat on my plan. My plan listed "Mozzarella(Processed, not grated)" & didn't mention fat content at all. I just searched a couple of forums & found this "You can have any brand Mozarella cheese, full or low fat, so long as it's the block cheese."
Rice Crackers-
Someone else will have to help me here as my plan didn't list any. It says "You may eat 1 Rice Cake(thin) or 1 Ryvita in place of 2 crispbreads." I had Original Saladas as I found most of the crackers resembled cardboard! I have been searching for more info on rice crackers but can't find any sorry!
Greek Yoghurt-
I used to have the Vaalia low-fat or Tamar Valley low-fat, but some recommend the Black Swan No fat Greek Yoghurt, Margaret River Natural 99.7% Fat Free, Tamar Valley Lite Natural Yoghurt (I like this one,) & the Jalna low fat Greek yoghurt but I think I tried that & found it really sour.
Hope this helps a little in the mean-time . I'll catch up again with you soon, xo Cate.

Hiya 28!

Wow, you're so close to goal! Thats great. I bet you are feeling amazing and looking it too! Keep up the hard work :)

I use the Perfect Italiano Mozzarella block. It does not say low fat... as my book does not say anything about it having to be low fat.

I don't eat rice crackers sorry... but the crispbreads I eat are Salada's or Kraft Premium's.

Yoghurt - I don't eat Greek Yoghurt, it doesnt say anything about Greek yoghurt in my plan... I use the Mundella Low Fat Natural Yoghurt or the Brownes Low Fat Natural. I find them both really yum :)

Sorry if I haven't been much help!!!

Enjoy your trip to Australia :)

Hi 28!!!! Well done on sticking at it!!!!!

Black Swan yoghurt is divine if you can get it. They have it in Perth, don't know about elsewhere.

Otherwise I don't use Greek yoghurt, but WA they sell Browne's natural light which fits cohen's and is the best tasting plain yoghurt here I reckon (after Black Swan).

Crackers - Salada are the nicest but they tempt me to go astray. I stick with VitaWeet's, cracked pepper, which are harder to eat but more filling and don't tempt me to have more.

I don't use Mozzarella, love low fat Lemnos feta though.

Thank YOU!!!

Thank you, Cate, Kris, and Niyah for your responses. I appreciate all your input so much!!!

Niyah, could you tell me how many Vitaweets you are able to eat each day? I am so happy you reminded me of them! I LOVE vitaweets!!!

Thank you for the yoghurt recos. I decided I will actually eat eggs while in Oz until I get to a store. I haven't had yoghurt in months since I wanted to get off all sugar. So it won't be a surprise or anything to stick to eggs.

Ladies, it's so nice to be back on the boards to say hello. I hope you're all doing really well.

Lots of loving!

Hi 28+, Just popped back in so thought I would answer this. From my plan- "Vita-Weat (original or cracked pepper only)- sandwich size is equivalent to 2 crispbreads)"
When are you back in Australia? I'll catch up later as am on my way out to Tai Chi,
xo Cate

My plan was 5, maximum of two at a time. So it was 2 for morning tea, 2 for afternoon tea, one evening.
