San - I agree. Most people on the forum advocate a reasonable level of protein in the diet. I am currently exceeding 1g per pound of actual weight and always exceed the 1g per pound of lean body weight target that many of us aim for... The RDA (which is approx 1g per 2 pounds of actual weight) is accepted as being totally inadequate for people that exercise a lot.
We all love protein. The only thing is that we have other nutritional targets that we shoot for too.
