Sport Atkins/ YAY or NAY

nay. there was a post some time ago about how to make this diet better. i can try and find it for you if you're interested in it.

it did have some real good ideas

Oh yeah if you could that'd be great. my parents were on atkins a few years ago and they said it worked so I want to see other people's opinions

i agree nay... not doubt about it... my mom did it and lost but gained all of it back so fast it made my head spinn. think of doing a healthy eating lifestyle change. not some fad diet that you put everything back on when you stop it...

NAY.... ok here's the deal with atkins. trust me because i've lost 80 lbs from it and gained about 40 careless pounds back. i've found that you cant put on muscle with Atkins which seemed wird becuae i was eating so much protein , but it's true. also i never got my body fat percentage where i wanted . so my advice is to go to a more healthier approach.. im trying the abs diet.. does anyone have comments on that?

i post on the mens health board also and i believe thats a section just for the abs diet. some of those i've talked with do like it. i know nothing about it personally.

Nay. If you want the effects of Atkins, try juice fasting. It's a similar process, the difference being a healthful elimination of toxins (when done properly) rather than an unhealthy accumulation of them while on Atkins. It requires an iron will, however, not only to stay on it but to lead out of your fast with a healthful approach rather than a massive binge. If you want more info I'd be happy to oblige.

Now I assume a guard stance and wait for the avalanche of attacks on fasting.

I just started the Abs diet too..as of Monday January 9th. It seems like it could work..smart foods and great exercise guidelines :)

I can't say yay or nay. I always put it down myself, but I like to take scientific aproches to things so I decided to try it for three months. I'm on month two and have lost about 40 pounds. At the end of my three months I'm going to simply eat heathy. As it is now I eat a lot of chicken breasts, ground turkey, spinach and other of the healthier foods. So I'd say it's a decission to make for yourself.
