Sport Aspartame

Sport Fitness
okay...i was at a college class this evening and i was told that sugar-free is not good for you when it contains asapartame...but aparently Splenda does not contain this...my sugar-free oatmeal contains aspartame as well as my Peach drink-mix...let me know what you all think...thanks!

I dont think anyone is 100% sure.
Basicly... If there is a problem it will come from the dry form, or having too much.

so never have it if its in dry form, and keep the intake low in liquid form. I undertand it can be hard to avoid, just keep your eye out and try to use an alternative whenever possible.

so should i throw out my crystal light generic brand powder that goes into my water to flavor it...i love the stuff...and what about my sugar-free oatmeal? Is Splenda ok?

okay i am going to get rid of my aspetame products...how do i get this stuff out of my system? Because i obviously have been using it for a while....and does it cause weight gain..i read somewhere it does

don't worry about trying to detox...your body will do it naturally.

i too think splenda is fine as long as you're not force feeding it. a little in my morning coffee, and oatmeal, and i'm good. and I think my protein powder has it too.

and the best part is you can bake with splenda, however it doesn't brown/carmelize, so things like cookies, you tend to use some splenda and some real sugar.
otherwise your cookies turn out pale tan, and won't look right.

derwyddon, GREAT post! :D
