Hey guys! I'm pretty new to this but needed some form of motivation. Here I will be tracking my weight, my food intake, and taking any tips on how to lose weight! My goal is to be able to wear a bodycon/form fitting dress without having fat hanging out. Here are my stats:

gw: 116
sw: 127
cw: 127

See you tomorrow :)

Is this weight in Lb or Kg ? how tall are you ?

What is your planned approach to loosing fat ?

Hey Ashlei, welcome to the forum! I think you will find this a good place to help with motivation and tips, the people here are knowledgeable and friendly.

Like Trusylver says a little more information would help us. Are you on a diet now, or do you plan to be? If not just telling us a bit more about yourself and posting your food and exercise for a couple of days will give folks something more to go on.

I look forward to reading about your progress, and maybe seeing a picture of you in that well fitting dress soon!

Thank you so much! I don't really want to diet, as you usually gain it all back, and the keto diet would not be the way to go for me! I am still in school and am moderately active, homework swamps me so I rely on the physical activity I get at school :)

You are right there! Most people who lose weight gain it back, keeping it off is often harder than losing it.

That said to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you eat, and most weight is lost through reduction in calorie intake. Exercise can sure help too. If you gained the weight on your current diet, then you will either have to reduce your calorie intake, increase your calorie burn, or both.

Best of luck!

Hey Ashlei and welcome! Given that you're already in shape and just want to lose a few more pounds reducing sweet snacks (if you have them) may well be enough to reach your goal.

what I am seeing here is a lot of sugar in the junk food your consuming with minimal vegetables and protein, but it is a starting point to make improvements from.

Since you are still at school, how much control do you have in your choices of food ?

For the record: you are not fat. At 5 foot 5 127 lbs is an excellent weight even for someone as young as you are. If you want to get thinner restricting refined sugar would be helpful (have a piece of good fruit instead if you can). I'm glad to see you're eating veggies but skipping the protein from your dinner in favor of icecream will likely make you more hungry and craving sweets later.

I agree with LaMa, you are not fat! I should know, I am fat and have been for a long time, I am a self taught expert on being fat. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be dieting, you know your body better than we do, you know what's best. I also agree with LaMa, eating fruit rather than refined sugar has been a big help to me.

Good to have you here, and I think you are off to a good start, keep it up!
