I have recently started up doing arnold presses and have irritated my supraspinatus tendon in my right arm performing the action. Does anyone else get this? If you drop your shoulders forward during the motion is this what results in the pinching of the tendon?
I find that if I bring my arms out wide from the starting position and then push and twist there is less chance of any pain. If I start rotating my arms at the start of the motion the tendon in my right arm is often pinched. I am left handed and the problem only seems to be on my right hand side. This is a bit confusing because if it is a technique problem shouldn't I have pain on both sides?
