Aries Quest for a New ME!

Okay, so i'm 19 years old, 5'6, and I currently weigh 255 lbs. I find that my problem stems from mostly my lack of exercise. I do pretty well with the eating but the exercise just gets boring and repetitive and I wind up stopping it. Living in Upstate New York during the winter (snow constantly!! ) there are not many alternatives. But I'm definitely going to try a lot harder because I want to get the weight off by my 20th birthday (which is next year). So I've given myself enough time and i'm really going to need you guys' daily support! ;)

Hey Aries!
Welcome to the site. I'm pretty new here too, but I've found so much support already. I'm sure you'll love it. As for your weight loss goals, good luck, I'll be around whenever you need!

Hey!

Hey girl! I appreciate the confidence and support! It's a good thing to know that I'm not the only one out there having a problem with egotistical skinny gals. I hope we can get to talking and make our way to our goals together. It's nice to know I'm not alone. Hope to see you around.

WELCOME!!!!!WELCOME!!!!!:D

Glad to hear that you have decided to change your lifestlye. It all pays off in the long run. Stay positive.

Thanks Jelly Belly! So i've been doing really good these past two days. I worked out yesterday and today for 45 minutes. I've been mixing up the exercises so I won't get bored doing the same thing everyday. My eating has been great. I learn how to make a MEAAANNN turkey sandwich, lol. So yep, i'm still on the road. I know you guys are doing great as well and if you're not its never too late to change stuff around. Keep on pushing!

Woot!
Sounds like you're doing great so far and you just sound like you're so full of energy! heh
What sort of exercises are ya doing?
I also tend to get bored with doing the same thing over and over again so just curious what you're doing to change it up :)

Basically the exercises that I like to choose from are : treadmill, elliptical machine, swimming, basketball, biking, walking (outdoors), or my yoga tape. I choose which one I want to do everyday and with that variety it keeps me from getting bored. I also do weight training three times a week to help build muscle. So those are my little exercise routines. I hope to add some other activites to it as well. I'm researching, lol! Hope that helps you out some!

Wow.... you do alot more than me lol.
I really need to start weight training as well.. heck I just need to start exercising again lol.

I so want an elliptical machine. I think I would enjoy doing that more than the treadmill. Too bad they're so expensive though and I'm just too shy and cheap to go to a gym :p

Heh... anywho!
Keep up the great work! And don't forget to keep us all updated :D

Sounds like your off to an awesome start :) I love it here- joined in December, and have lost 22 lbs- and I'm pretty damn certain that I wouldn't have kept up with any other diet/workout routine had it not been for everyone on this site :) Really looking forward to getting to know ya better, oh, and I love your hoodie in your pic!!!

Yoga!

Hey guys! How's everything going with you all? I hope well! I did yoga yesterday night! It's really weird because I feel my energy level going up. Prior to starting this I wouldn't be caught dead doing any exercise at night but last night at around 11 I was in my room doing yoga for 40 minutes! I really enjoyed it and i think im going to do it again tonight. Either that or i'll head over to the gym for some treadmill action. I've decided not to weigh myself for a while. I'm going to wait for about two weeks or so because I know that my body is changing (I can feel it) but if I look at that scale and see I haven't lost anything i'm going to get discouraged and I don't want that. So i'm going to hold off and just keep on doing what i'm doing. I'll check back in with you guys later. You're all wonderful and keep on moving!

P.S. Thanks Jess! That's my favorite hoodie!:D

That's great! I've noticed that I've had so much more energy too - it's amazing.. you really feel great. I just love yoga - I did some prenatal classes and now I just kind of do-it-meself in my living room.
Now stay away from that scale! haha.. I like your idea - I usually do 1 week maybe I should up it just to make myself feel better - like I've lost more because I don't check it often.. haha. Your favorite hoodies may be in the trash soon because you're going to want to show off some skin girl! Keep it up! :D You're really doing great, starting out can be the hardest part!
I'm livin in the snow too so it's hard to find things to do in winter - but be creative\, you've got a great ine up of exercises to do. Way to go! :)

Spring Break

It's been A While! I know, but that's because I was on Spring Break. Me and some friends from school went down to Augusta, Georgia to help build houses for Habitat For Humanity. I had the most wonderful time and I was sad to leave buuuuttttt I got back today and I weighed myself because I was worried I had eaten too much junk and had gained weight but in actuality I lost one pound! I know its not much but I'm happy seeing as I thought I had gained atleast five, lol. So i'm back at school now and back on my grind. I hope to hear from you guys soon and I hope everything is going well with all of you!
