Sport Are soups good for dieting?

I say no, only because its' going to digest quickly, leaving you hungry in 45 mins, and without a strong will, you'll end up snacking because of it.

Now if you were having soup, and some other food (like the soup was your 'veggie' at this meal) then I say it's ok.
 
70 calories isn't much, so you'd have to be eating it with something else (or eating it very frequently). Beware! Because soups have high water content, they tend to be very high in sodium for their flavoring. Keep an eye out for that as well.
 
it's not much for summertime, but i make a good soup with water, veggies,and spice -no fat at all. it's nice with whole grain bread for lunch; it's filling enough for us.
