Anyone use wrist/ankle weights while running?

I've never used them, or seen anyone using it. what are they for?

generally, don't run with weight on you (like a backpack etc) it will only get you a injury but I don't know about ankle weights maybe they are different :confused:
 
That link doesn't mention anything about the wrist weights. They seem like a good idea, but I don't know, I tried them on and they felt like they could become annoying if I wore them for an extended run.
 
Best off using a weighted Vest like the one available from Reebok that looks like a Flack Jacket, can load up to 10kg.


Well I had the equivilant of the weighted vest when I was 30 pounds heavier ;)
