Anyone tried the "Full Bar?"

I tried one of these the other day. It doesn't have any medications in it but I am not sure that it would be the best way to go. It is called the "Full Bar" and it is a high fiber, low calorie bar that you eat with a 8 oz. glass of water 15 minutes before you eat. A Bariatric surgeon (gastric bypass/band) apparently developed it. It is supposed to fill your stomach up to about the level of a gastric band so you can only eat small amounts at a time.

Before I decide whether or not it is worth it, I was wondering if anyone else has tried it. And if they have, were they able to get enough calories to lose weight appropriately with the full bar?

I googled "Full Bar," and there is a page to it, in case anyone is interested.
Thanks,

Layni

sorry, haven't tried it, might go looking for some reviews of some description though,i'll let you know, sounds sort of interestinG???

er ok, well i've read up, and the way i see it, 160 calories is a lot to factor into your diet???

i can get a diet yoghurt for 68 calories, plus a piece of fruit chopped up. makes a bludy great snack - and would come in well under those bars!!!

if they were zero calorie i could definitely see how they could be appealing........

Those bars were around in the 90's already and even before that. When I was about 14 I used to take some stuff that was supposed to fill up my stomach and help me eat less.

All I got was stomach cramps and constipation. :(

And qualitycoffee is right, for 160 calories you can eat a perfectly good snack which will not only fill you up just as well, but also have some nutritional value. I'd stay away from those bars, especially since they probably cost a fortune to boot.

Thanks

I hadn't read the nutritional info, so I didn't know it had 160 calories. That is a 1/2 cup of Kashi GoLean, yogurt and some blueberries (one of my fav's). So it goes in the same trash bin as any other diet bar or whatever.

Thanks again,

Layni
