Anyone know any good videos?

I've been looking for a really good pilates video that I can do at home. I've tried a couple and some of them are just really bad- either they go entirely too slow or are a little too advanced. Suprisingly, the MTV one I purchased isn't that bad, but I'm getting tired of doing the same one repeatedly, any suggestions?

My sister and I both love the Kathy Smith videos. We have them on DVD. She does move rather slow, but if your "powerhouse" muscles are engaged, it really does a lot. I've heard good things about the Winsor Pilates, but I haven't tried them myself yet.

I have used the windsor pilates tapes before. They are real good. They do more than just the abs, the legs as well and even some for the backside.

There are also some books that you can get that use pilates on the exercise ball which you might want to take a peek on.

Hope this helps

I haven't used mine for awhile but it also works nice for working out with weights if you don't have a bench.

The book that I was telling you about is called Pilates on the ball by Colleen Craig.

I have a Pilates video called "Pilates for Weight Loss." It's done by Suzanna Deason. It has three different people to follow depending on your level of experience. I did it 4 times this past week and lost 3 lbs.

pilates

I like Pilates for Dummies. I haven’t done any other Pilates videos. I have done Kari Anderson’s Angles Lines & Curves and liked that too.

Winsor is good for beginners because she thoroughly goes through each exercise each time. I learned off of this and moved quite well into classes at my gym! It gets boring after a while though because she moves so slow and I'm just waiting for her to begin the next exercise and I already know what's coming.

The only other pilates video I've tried is "Classical Pilates Technique" and it moves really fast and has 5 levels up to super-advanced so it grows with you. There is no rest between exercises so you get more done in less time. I thought I was pretty good at pilates, but I have trouble on the advanced section - so I have a long ways to go before I'm done with this dvd! :)

I have all the Crunch pilates videos. They are very good, especially Crunch pick your spot pilates.

I would suggest Classical Pilates Videos ...

I have the crunch dvd as well and I really like it. I like the pick your spot but I also like to do all three at one time. It is a good video. I have a couple of other pilates dvd's but the crunch is my favorite!
