Anyone jog with a mp3 player?

i got a bit of a problem i have gone through 2 mp3 players already because the sweat gets in there and ruins them is this the cause of a cheap mp3 player or has anyone else had this problem?

Have a look at mp3 player. I was thinking of getting one after xmas.

They look cool and should go nicely in the gym.

RB,
I ruined one the same way. Wore it on my belt and sweat just dripped right into it. I now wear my MP3 player on an armband and haven't had a problem.

I used to cycle with mine in the front pocket and it kept getting soaked. The SD card slot isnt working any more unfortunately...

Wouldn't mind a new one but can't afford it before xmas.

ya from now on what i will do is put my mp3 player in the cupholder of my treadmill but to be honest i dont think it was the sweat that killed the first one i think it was defective to begin with.

Ive got an iAUDIO player(which I highly highly recommend) and have been running with it 3+ times a week for almost a year now with no problems. And I am a big sweat hog. Their players are cheap, and they without a doubt have the best sound quality of any players I have heard. Ive also dropped mine, smashed it really hard into a crystal ashtray(this one had me cringe), but the thing has always came through like a champ.

There is a link to their line of flash players. I have the 300, and I couldnt recommend it enough. You could probably even get a 1gig player for less than 200$...not sure though, I never check the prices.

Yup i just got the Iaudio F1 as a matter of fact and i cant agree more the best sound quality i have ever heard and not a problem yet. Thanks for the reccomendation.

bought an Iriver last summer and never had that problem.. where do you put it when u jogg?? I have mine in a case attached to the waist and no sweat gets in there, and if there is light rain I just cover it with my shirt..

I killed my last mp3 player when I got caught in a thunderstorm and dropped it a few times  .. worst is it was dry and sunny when I had left home.. meh came out to be a good thing after all cause I just got a better one :D

IRIVER!!
Had it for almost 2 yrs. I ripped the little case. I've since tied it to a carabiner (mountain climbing clip). Works great!! I know that's a bit ghetto but check my name before you pass any judgement... :D

I've actually dropped plates on mine. Crashed on a mountain bike several times with it. Just keeps on going. The screen has a crack in it but it still works just like new.

Iriver! check it out

i have to agree with the iaudio/cowon products. i have had the cw300 for over two years, and it is just starting to get a little buggy (it shuts down when it touches the heart rate monitor on the gym treadmill . . . weird). i have gone through a few armbands and cases, but the unit is awesome. small, fits tons of music, and is durable (dropped a few times). one of the best features in my mind is the superior sound quality. better than any other mp3 player i've used, and i'm preparing to purchase another. unfortunately the cw300 is discontinued (i think), but they have newer, more affordable ones now, and the reviews are very good.

I have an iPod video...but it runs with a Hard Drive so I am afraid to run with it.
