Kimkins Lean Low Carb Diet

Hi everyone :)

I'm the webmaster at Kimkins.com (. Kimkins is a lean, low carb diet that has been popular in low carb circles for several years now. The creator of the Kimkins diet, Kimmer, has offered her advice and support on public message boards until recently. Now she has opened her own site and offer one-on-one support and advice for a nominal lifetime membership fee.

We are looking for some unbiased people to review the Kimkins program and site and so Kimmer has asked me to offer several free guest memberships (three months' duration) to people who fit the following description:

1. Interested in and willing to follow a lean, low carb eating plan.

2. At least 15 pounds to lose to get to goal.

3. An active Fitness.com forum member who is willing to report back to other forum members on his/her experience on Kimkins and the pros and cons of the Kimkins plan.

If you would be interested in a free three-month guest membership and you meet these guidelines then please go to Kimkins.com and click on "Contact Us." Send me a message with your email address, your Fitness.com board handle, and your starting and goal weight. Please use the subject line "Fitness.com board Guest Membership."

Thanks, and have a great day!

Catherine

I am currently trying the Kim Kins diet, and I have had a lot of success.

It is a low carb low fat diet. The first 3-5 days are the worst, but after that it gets better. I have lost 13 pounds in the first 2 weeks

I do have it linked on my site at the bottom.

Kimkins ...

I did a search for it here and was surprised to not see anything about it except what appeared to be a couple of lures cast out by a plant from the Kimmer.

No, I'm not doing it. No, I wouldn't do it. No, I do not recommend anyone do it. Ever. In a million years. There is a reason it's called Kimorexia, after all :)

Anyway - just wondered if you all had heard of that dangerous starvation plan.

God Bless,
mik

i have no idea if it's true or not, but i heard somewhere that they found out that the actual person Kimmy or Kim or whoever named the diet after herself turned out to be a fraud and still quite overweight.

also, i went to a site once that had lots of her posts and she sounded WORSE than many pro-anorexia sites do.

Her name is Hedi Kimberly Diaz, she claimed to have lost 198 pounds in 11 months on her special diet. In order to perpetuate her ruse, she swiped pictures from a Russian Mail Order Bride site and claimed they were her after photos. She scammed people into buying her lie at $60 for a membership to her site and a substantial number of people have been injured as a result of following a very low calorie starvation plan.

Her advice has led some of her former members straight to the emergency room, with a few of them requiring open heart surgery to repair damage to their heart valves and I also read that there was one lady who miscarried her baby because of this dangerous plan.

She recently went in for a deposition (just prior to Thanksgiving, IIRC) and any announcements about further proceedings has yet to be announced. The DA in her county wants to pursue criminal fraud charges, if I remember correctly.

If you google Kimkins Scam, Free Kimkins Free, or Kimkins Exposed, you will find links to the various blogs that detail the entire time line of this situation, including information about the law suit.

For the time being, the Kimkins site is still up and accepting new customers, but with some luck and good investigative work on the part of the DA, Heidi Kimberly Diaz will serve jail time for fraud.

God Bless,
mik

Tell Kimmers to go someplace else if she wants to scam.

There's no secrets out there. Eat less and lose weight. Extremely low calories are going to lead to a lot of weight loss.

Or tell her to come here if she wants to advocate her product and stand up to her critics.

and the first post is the webmaster of the kimwhatever site lookig for guinea pigs willig to give testamonials...

I do't believe she got very far :)

Catherine, who started this thread, used to be the webmaster at Kimkins. Later, Heidi Diaz bought out her interest in the business and they went their separate ways. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Catherine because she helped a great deal in exposing Heidi's fraud. There is currently a class action lawsuit against Heidi. Anyone who has been sold a membership to her site is eligible to join in. A lot of bloggers are doing a great job of informing people on how to report the fraud to governmental agencies, Better Business Bureau, etc. Here's a really good one:

And it's on the link I just gave, but to participate in the lawsuit, go here:

It's important for us to keep getting the word out about this before Heidi gets a new influx of members who are looking for a quick way to lose their holiday pounds.

stay far away from this diet.. of course it works YOUR STARVING YOURSELF.

isnt the creator fat again. i KNOW i seen her pic like at tmz or something

overweight by 50 pounds.

I am a 20 years old short female who is overweight by 50 pounds. I have been overweight since I got my tonsils removed at age 5. My New Year's resolution is to loose the weight. I want to supplement my diet and exercise with a diet pill. However, I have some provisions for the diet pill I take. I don't want a pill that can become addictive or have serious possible heath affects. I want a pill that can easily work with my "diet." Please help me.

Get a placebo. It will work if you think it will.

Seriously, do some research around this site - the pills, when they have any effect at all, have a cumulative negative effect. Mostly what you loose is water weight.

Give portion control, moderate calorie reduction and increased physical exercise a try before you get any pills.

mik

Make that she is fat still! She never lost the weight - admitted it under oath in a deposition. She's being sued, by the way.

Fat again?

Like Magicsmom said, she never lost weight.

The people that instigated the lawsuit hired a PI to follow Diaz around. In case you haven't seen it, here's the real Heidi Diaz...
