Anybody do JUST body weight routines?

Schedule and location kinda prohibits me from hitting the gym when I'm working, so I was curious if anybody does JUST body weight exercises to gain strength and slowly gain mass through dieting.

I've been looking at this website a bit:

And some of those guys are nasty. Especially in the street section, those guys claim to not need a gym???

I'm not looking to be huge, or gain a ton, and some of those vids on that site are pretty inspiring...

Also, with my background in breakdancing, it looks to be of similar nature and I'm actually pretty interested in being able to do a bunch fo the things they do...

I'm half-way through a 12 week Turbulence Training course. I found it by just googling Turbulence Training and downloaded a copy from scrib dot com

The first 4 weeks are just bodyweight supersets (I was knackered at the end of it!!)
The second 4 weeks include chinups and inverted rows

Haven't even looked at the last 4 yet!!! Bet it'll only get harder!!!!

Gymnasts do :)

Personally, I've done body weight only workouts, but never a longer term routine. It is definitely possible to get a very good workout from only body weight, you just have to be more creative. Its just all about taking away as much leverage as you can from yourself in whatever movements you might be doing. I've found it's just much easier to use weights, however body weight training could easily have its own advantages

For me bodyweight only routines didnt provide enough resistance, im fairly light ..

If you are interested in a different training style, try googling 'sandbag training' techniques, apparantly it is very effective...

That place is crawling with BSN ads. Those sort of workouts are calisthenics - general fitness and getting back in shape. To get big+strong you would need much more than BSN Cellmass and a "streetworkout". Do you have access to a heavy stone, sandbags etc?

I just started a routine of pushups this week and it's been very effective =).
I do three sets of pushups three times a day and I raise that amount after every 2 days if I can do it without stopping/resting.
