Any thoughts on CLA?

Conjugated Linoleic Acid or CLA. I want to know if anyone has used this as supplement. My trainer has recently suggested Tonalin-CLA to me. He said I didn't eat enough protein.

I researched about it a bit online but as you all know most of the articles posted are biased and devised to promote a product or another. This is one articles I found as example.


So, I want to hear a first hand experience on this product. Any thoughts?

My body never responded to it and many others I consult with have had no response as well.
 
There might be a slight effect in increased fat loss, very modest however and might just be related to its hunger supressing effect.
 
I've seen two research papers that basically summed it up that it takes 8-10 grams of teh stuff daily to even see any noticeable results and then that's even suspect.
 
Yea.. I should also emphasise on the 'slight effect' - with slight I do mean slight. The first 12 months it showed no difference but after 24mo there was a small difference..
