any suggestions?

Hi I just joined up with this site. I will be possibly be not renewing my gym membership due to higher utilitiy bills and having my 3 year old start preschool next fall. Unless I do a short like 3-6 mth membership instead of a year. ANyway, I am looking around for a used elliptical trainer, found a nordic trac on ebay that looks good. Any suggestions on elliptical trainers? ALso, getting a pilaties tape to use. I am not usually good at being self motivated to work out at home so hopfully this site will help in that :) Leesa.

Welcome to the site!

It sounds like you know yourself. You should find a professional that can teach you what to do and keep you accountable. It sounds like without that, you have a tendency to drift.

Welcome, I just joined too!
I'm a lot like you, in that I have very little self motivation, mostly because I'm pretty much comfortable with myself. However, I know that I need to change my dieting and exercising (not sure if i spelled that right) habits.
Anyways, before I was really comfortable with myself (yeah, about 40 pounds ago, actually) I found that dieting and exercising alone was not my thing, so I decided to join weight watchers. It was about 50 dollars a month, but the group support was enough to get me motivated. If you can't find a weight watchers group, or something to that effect, around you, then maybe this forum will be enough to keep you on track! At least, that's what I'm hoping it will do for me!
