Used to play WoW since alpha, but stopped about a year ago. Used to play Star Wars when it came out, but since they went free to play, the restrictions are just ridiculous, and I'm not willing to pay another subscription. I have a max level character, but I can't do anything with her unless I pay.
Tried FF14 (beta), but it was just the same as any of the others, so not really that interested. Been in the first Wildstar Beta and I know people are raving about it, but it totally didn't impress me. It's more like a jump and run than an MMO.
I quite enjoyed Neverwinter, if you can put up with getting things that you can't use unless you pay for it - I just throw stuff out and play the base game, and I like the mechanics (active defence etc). Same goes for Rift, another game I'm playing occasionally - very similar to all the other MMOs out there, but I like the whole idea of rift events etc.
My absolutely favourite is The Secret World though. I love the combat mechanics, the freedom of fighting style and weapons, the variety of talent trees etc., but more than that, the fact that it is not just the usual 'get me 10 of these and 10 of that and then come back' kind of questing. There are puzzles, riddles, stuff that actually makes you use your brain while playing. Unfortunately, that's also the reason why it doesn't have the largest player base - apparently for a lot of 'average' MMO players, it's too 'difficult'....*snort*.
What I loved about SWtoR was the decision wheel, having the ability to determine the direction your character goes into (good/bad), and no other game has really picked that up yet. Incidentally, that was apparently one of the major factors that stopped people from playing, since there was 'too much text' to read, and apparently the average MMO player just wants to press buttons and kill things. :/
