Hey everybody! It's the 3rd day in October and I have some unusual amounts of energy (I'm waiting on my coffee whilst I post here, and then cleaning the living room, yay!). For some reason, today just feels like it's going to be a great day. Anywho.
So I'm 26 and trying to get my life on track. I was doing pretty good until I switched to night shift, and then it was like
WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF? lol Actually, it IS better for me, in terms of sleep and energy. I've always been a night owl. However, it's gotten progressively harder and harder to keep on top of things outside of work now, namely: weight loss (healthy habits and eating), and housework. My house right now...lol y'all don't even wanna look in my window right now, trust me. That's kinda why I'm up at 8AM. See, I slept 17 hours because it was my day off, and now I'm wide awake and wondering why I keep doing these kinds of things to myself. But whatever. Sorry I'm rambling.
I have about 50lb to drop and I'm not in any hurry. I've done yo-yo dieting and even contemplated turning some unhealthy habits into an eating disorder, but I'm tired of the ups and downs and want to get back into the slow and steady and constant. However, now that I'm actually working the night shift and not just staying up too late for the heck of it, I'm kind of lost. Does anyone have any suggestions to help get me back on track? I bring a water bottle to work with me most nights. I work as a resident assistant in a senior living center so my night is spent 50/50 on my feet, or sitting folding laundry.
