long story short - but for drudge repetitive stuff - like in physiology

mnemonics will be your best friend...

Any tutors or teachers out there?

Cool, thanks Mal. Funny thread.

Anyone new out there that may have joined since 2007 or learned anything new since then, that can add some input??

I never studied the same subject as you, but I've always found that studying was a waste of time for me. Personally, I've always been good at retaining information after the first time I learn it and studying was pointless for me.

Now, on a different note: If I sat down and studied for an hour or two, I wouldn't remember anything that I read. But, if I only studied for 15-20 minutes, I would remember everything that I read.

Try studying in short bursts, taking breaks in between your study sessions. I know a lot of people who have had success with studying that way and have actually improved, not only their grades, but their knowledge as well.

Oh man I am a Dietetics Major with a Bio minor, and I have defiently taken that class, I hated it lol! All i can give advice to do is get models of the anatomy structures and memorize. I clearly remember blowing off plans and partys the nights before tests just so i could study. Having a partnerto help you go over the information helps too. Otherwise its just loads of memorization. Good Luck! Any questions feel free to ask :blush5:

Thanks guys

Thanks Chef, This is the 1st class that has busted my butt (minus Algebra). Like you I never needed to study (maybe go over info day of test) and still got away with A's and B's, occasional C lol. But also like you I was thinking the same thing...short bursts. Looks like thats the best idea so far.

Thanks Mad, here's a question...any good way to memorize molecule formations? If I see one more H-N-O-C I'm going to explode lol. :svengo:

I would try and remember the molecules formula first like C4H10 and once you have the formula memorized try and draw the molecules on a note card and then keep practicing them until you get them. Its frustrating because memorizing and repeating is the only real way to cement them in your brain. I guess thats what I found helpful at least!

Oh and if you have a molecule building kit that helps too! Im pretty sure you can find them off of amazon.com...
