so i am new, forgive my ignorance.

I know i need to lose a few lbs, maybe 30. but, whats odd is my stomach sticks out like i am 9 months pregnant, but, its NOT flab, i dont get it. i can tighten my stomach and can maybe pinch 2 inches, thats it.

am i just bloated all the time or maybe is my stomach just stretch out internally? when i eat a mean its like my stomach literally grows outwards.

is it just what i am eating?

Fat doesn't have to be flabby. A lot of people ahve a very SOLID padding of fat on their stomach.

It could be bloat, it could be fat, it could be a combination fo the two.

For some people. Be careful about absolute statements like that on forums. :)

SOME people are sensitive to carbs.
SOME people are sensitive to certain KINDS of carbs.
SOME people find themselves getting bloated from consuming those kinds of carbs.

But it's not a universal truth for everyone. :)

ya thats why im asking, ok any idea what kinds of carbs because some things makes me blow up like a balloon but i dont know what. i do know spicy food and fruit juice's do, but no other ideas.

That was the point of my post. WE don't know what makes YOU bloat. You have to figure that out for yourself.

The best way to do that is to start logging the food you eat and seeing how you feel after.

I know, because I've logged my food for nearly 3 years now, that eating more than 2000 mg of salt a day will make me retain a LOT of water (like up to 5lbs of water or more). I know that simply because I have monitored what I eat over the years.

I know that carbs don't cause me to bloat at all ... but that if I avoid them at night, my weight loss tends to be faster and more consistent. I know that from keeping track of what I eat and watching how my body responds.

Everyone has to do that for themselves ... write down what you eat and se what happens to your body the next day.

YOu'll start seeing patterns before long.

My experience.

Ok, at the risk of revealing too much....

Immediately prior to beginning to loose weight my "belly" was "huge" but it was firm/solid.

Now I've lost over 40lbs - my "belly" is considerably less "huge" but it's no longer firm/solid - it's "flabby".

In my case, I've put this down to the fact that when I was "huge" I was stretching my skin, which was acting like the skin of a balloon and "containing" that which lay beneath.

As I've let the air out of the balloon (as it were) so the balloon is now more "flabby".

If I was you, I'd concentrate on deflating the balloon - I've found it helpful to record what I eat - maybe you'll spot a link between your diet and how your belly feels which could unlock this for you.

I've heard of this before, and one thing I've seen mentioned a lot in other places is the concept of visceral fat, or fat behind the abdominal wall, vs the fat you usually see, which is right under the skin. It'll usually come off with more diet and exercise.

One thing that you could do is to cleanse you colon. I have done this before in the past when I get that bloated feeling that just doesn't seem to go away. I also have read that eating a lot of red meat can cause this too.

Have anyone else heard anything like this?
