Another newbie here!

Hey everyone. I just found out about this place from a friend of mine. I can always use some support while losing weight. I started out at 320 and now am at 294. Just trying to eat less and exercise more. My son is six and he is starting to put on wieght and I DON"T want him to grow up fat like I did. I want to se a good example. We walk together everymorning.
I was thin for a few years after highschool until I met my now husband,lol.
So trying to get back on track and hoping to find some encouragement here.
Look forward to this place.....

its never too late to teach your kids about being healthy... and make it a priority to them, not because he will get made fun of.. but because its good for his body.. its good for him. Get him involved in playing games and sports and real social activities involving exercise and he will probably fall inlove with it and not fight. I know kids can be stubborn :) Walking with him is a brilliant idea and you are doing a great job :)
 
Thanks Avi2kat, actually he loves to go for walks, it was his idea! I used to walk all the time but then started working almost everyday and it got set aside, I know not good. He is going to try for football this year, baseball was too boring! lol!
 
lol.. I agree with him there.. I hate baseball! Love football! And football is a bit more physical too. :) Your doing a wonderful job :)
