Another new one

Hi! I'm Tiffany I'm 24. I moved to a new town and started my first what I call normal job (8 to 5 desk job) about 2 years ago and started puting on weight and untill now when I saw picture of myself didn't realize how big I had gotten. Weight has never been an issue for me or anyone in my family before.
My plan is to work out and watch how many calories I consume I try to stay around 1200 a day. My boyfriend just left for Iraq for 1 year and 1/2. I would love for it all to be gone when he comes home (He has never seen me below 170lbs and without what I call a female beer gut except in old pictures.) Will take any advice so bring it on. I do have one quick question I have been working out at least 5 days a week till a couple of days ago I have a horrible cold and I don't know how I should incorporate my excercise in my day untill this thing is gone. I tried my normal workout and about died coughing.:(
 
Welcome Tiff... nice to see you here...

you probably want to hold off working out until you are recovered... I don't think you are doing your body any good by pushing it when it's feeling under the weather.

Why don't you start a diary in the diary section, to allow us to get to know you better, and it gives you a place to record oyur victories and challenges...

Since you'll be counting calories, have you gotten an online food journal? I've found they are extremely helpful in showing where your calories are going... and it keeps me very honest... :D

Bless you for keeping the homefires buring while your boyfriend goes off to the sandbox... I'll add him to my thoughts and prayers to keep him safe..,
