Sport Another "is this ok" post

Sport Fitness
To start, I am 18years 5' 10" and 150 pounds. I have 14% bf, and my goal is to get that down to around 9%. I've always had a good mind for organizing a work out regime, and making sure I fullfill it every week. However, since before I joined this forum, I had no idea what I ate meant so much. So, starting monday, I started eating around 6 medium-small size meals a day.

I don't know much about what I should be eating for these meals, so I've basically been copying the ideas of other people who post comments here. Here is an exact list of what I ate from today:

8:30 - Four eggs
10:30 - Protein shake (~300 calories, 50g protein) w/ 5g creatine
Lift from 11-12
12:05 - Protein shake (" ") w/ 5g glutamine
1:00 - Turkey and Provolone sandwich (Im talkin a triple decker, it was
beautifull, three slices of bread and turkey, mustard and mayo)
Class from 2-5
5:30 - Tunafish sandwich with worschester, mayo, and pickles (2 slices of
bread)
8:00 - Boneless skinless chicken breast w/ rudy's barbecue sauce

I know I didn't put the calories or all that other junk, but this is fairly known food, and I just want a "ballpark" estimate of whether days like this will reduce my body fat. Other info, I lift MWF full body, and run about 4 miles of HIIT on a treadmill on T TH and Sat. Is this enough calories/protein to keep me running and lose bf?

On a lighter note, I havn't had a tuna fish sandwich since I was like.. 6. Pretty weird how I remembered that taste so well.. thank god for worschester.

Thank you for any advice ya'll can throw my way.

Some advice

Do you drink any water ?? That is a must. You"ll also need to add some fruit and vegetables to your diet. Also I hope the bread you are using for your sandwiches is WHOLE grain bread, white bread is pretty much useless. Definitely add water, fruit and vegetables.

I drink a ton of water, pretty much with every meal. However, I do have an addiction to diet mug root beer (but these things happen).

I've never been much of a fruit and veggie person. What do you recommend? Especially in terms of veggies? I'm willing to eat anything as long as it doesn't rhyme with "tomato" or is a "tomato".

What to eat

The best thing I can recommend Tex is for you to go to the food store, head to the vegetable and fruit department, and buy what you think you would eat. Buy fresh fruit, not canned, most of the canned fruit has added sugar, in my experience anyway. Same with vegetables, buy fresh. I really can't give you specifics on what fruit or vegetables to eat, that is personal taste. For me, it apples, bananas, oranges, broccoli, carrots, peppers (red, yellow, green) etc. And good for you for drinking lots of water, try to reduce a bit on the diet root beer though.

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to try some peppers. I just bought fat free mayo today, so we'll see how that turns out.

Im not gonna repeat what others have said, as they are all correct. water, fruit and veg is needed.

My biggest concirn is than your not eatting any carbs untill 1pm.

for breakfast have 2 eggs and add 2-4more egg whites and have 2-4 slices of wholemeal bread with it.

remember that protien shakes are not meal replacments, they are suppliments. so have some nuts, fruit, bread or oats with each shake.

add potatoes or pasta to every meal.
what exercise do you do? when do you do it? what are your goals?
weight loss, muscle building or stamina?

add carbs.. you should eat some healthy carbs before your workout (oatmeal or something) and some fruits/veggies after you work out.
