Another creatine question. Should I and will it?

So I haven't worked out in a long time and a few weeks ago started cracking down on myself. My diet is good, I'm doing my cardio regularly, and I'm lifting a couple days a week to help maintain muscle. Five months ago I was up to 285lbs and have got down to 260 with diet only and over the last two weeks have dropped another five pounds. I feel great, however lugging around 255lbs is still pretty harsh and my muscle recovery and indurence is where I feel it most. I started taking protein a week ago post workout and feel it's helped me but I'm wondering if I could also use some creatine. The goal for now is to just get my body fat % down and not loose any muscle. Lbs on the scale don't worry me too much so retaining some water is no bid deal as long as I feel, look better and am ableto continue my workouts longer and harder. I just don't want to bulk up any or have it negatively effect my cardio in any way.

Yes, 5 grams a day, EVERY DAY, of 100% pure creatine monohydrate will give you that extra oomph to get through your weight training routine. The water retention isn't that bad.
It won't hinder cardio whatsoever.

Don't Load. Don't buy fancy creatine products. PLAIN, 100% pure, creapure processed, monohydrate. both ON and AtLargeNutrition.com sell it this way. bout 15 bucks for 500grams, roughly a 3 month supply.

Ok cool I'll start in on it and just toss it in with my protein I take after working out. How often would you suggest using it for before taking a break? I have been told and read a lot that over couple of months you should go off it for a bit..?

OK good to know. I did have higher blood sugar my doctor warned me about but I have cut all the crap from my diet and thats the only "condition" per say that I have ever had. Thanks a bunch guys, Im glad I came across this place and asked some questions. Its changed my routine and my outlook on things.
