Hi Everyone!

I just registered today, and I am excited. I think this might be the motivator I need. I need to lose about 80lbs! For my ideal...My first goal is to get under 200. I HATE being this heavy!
I have started a new diet, counting calories and I am starving right now...but I will stick with this.
I see myself in a bikini next summer, doing what I have wanted to do my whole life, SURF! Actually, I just want to go to the beach, and not worry about what outfit I will wear because theres no way I am getting in a swimsuit.

I think you are right! I am very excited to begin today. I just hope I can continue to stay excited! I have never ever been thin, and I really want this to be the day it all started.

Good luck on hitting your goal and learning to surf! Thats definitely a worthy motivation. I spent about a year and a half in southern california and learend to surf there, then continued surfing for a few years in Japan. I could fill up a page with how much I loved it, and miss it.............but I'd have to have a board shaped from a Sequoia to float me these days. :p

Thank you! It would be great to get some more ideas! I don't really have an exercise plan at the moment. I have a stairstepper at home. I think I will work something into my evening to do that.
 
Welcome to our forum! There are lots of supportive people here.

You could start a diary if you'd like. It is a good place for you to keep track of your calories and exercise and also for us to get to know you and offer ideas and support.

Our goals are simular.. we both started very close to the same weight.. and are aiming for about the same weight. (Though I do wanna go a bit farther after :) )

I can tell you this... it is totally do-able.. and totally worth it.

If your hungry.. try these tricks...

light jello - 20 cal for 2 cups
cream of wheat - 100 cal for 1 serving, about 1 cup and very filling.
watermelon - very high in water... and u can eat alot
gum - chew it.. can help keep you from eating.
 
Yes if I actually got down to 140 I would love to get down to 130, but we'll see. I want to keep my goals realistic. But at the same time, I love fantasizing about how I would look extremely thin! hahah. I have tattoos on my arms that I swear would look 100% better if I was thin. Thank you for the food tips. Are you counting calories? Weight watchers?

I am trying to figure out the best way to lose the weight, and obviously you are doing great by your tracker! How long has it taken you to lose that amount?
 
welcome to the forum and yes youll get the support you need here but always remember you do want to lose the weight not only to look good to feel good and remember no matter what you look like on the outside you are HOT on the inside :)
