Annoyed

This week I been on works experience....

Monday-Friday ive had one workout at home. This wasn't cardio either and im on a cut. Lookely its half term next week and im back at college so ile have more time to visit the gym and workout at home. Im at college for another 2 years so im ok for now but when I finish im going to be so tired after work to go to the gym. Anyone think diet would change this? I eat healthy even though I want to cut sandwhichs out for dinner to lower my carb intake...

Understand.

Cardio isn't required on a cut or one wanting to reduce fat tissue.

Good.

It was a little difficult following your post (like I should talk :))

You are looking too far ahead, and I believe you are over-thinking just a tad. Two years of diet and fitness training (while in school) leading into your professional work, will provide many changes (keeping things equal on the consistency) that could/will benefit you. I would be most concerned with your school period at the present time, and use this period to assist you when you are out of school.

Yes, diet plays a factor now, and will play a factor then. One's diet simply plays a role every day.

  • Why do you want to lower your carbohydrate intake?
  • What are you doing with your diet now?
  • What have you been doing with your diet?
  • What does your present training routine look like?

Best wishes for your success Beaver,

Chillen

Its all about adjusting your schedule as needed. I firmly believe a good diet will keep your energy levels sky high all day.

I work out at night after work and I still have the energy to keep going.

Damn straight. I'm not sure if its higher protein or increased intake of fruits and veggies. But either way I'm ready to run a marathon after work. LOL

Diet is hard to say but when I was younger ive been into junk food. Now no more !!! ;)

I eat 4 meals a day usually the last one is cereal before bed. Maybe not so good due to carbs. Could you suggest anything else to eat before bed?

Think is when I did my work experience, I didn't train or anything at the time, but I was completely tired afterwork after the first few days etc, and it really took it out of me.

Plain and simply I wasn't used to getting up so early and standing for so long all day.

Chances are IMO once you get used to working etc you'll be fine, and maybe workout in the morning before work would be an idea. :)

I'd be interested in this also.

I can totally relate to the tired-ness. I have a physically demanding job and when I work 2nd shift (4pm-midnight) - I'll work out during the day before I go to work. I get tired while I'm at work.

And since I've been working out a bit harder these last two weeks or so, I've been feeling more hungry than ever and I find myself fighting the urge to eat simply because It's out of my normal eating routine.

I always eat something before I go to bed or else I can't relax and don't sleep right. I've been eating cereal, fruits, crackers. Trying to keep it light. Sometimes I have the urge to dive into some buffaloo wings!! YUMMY!

I think it is partly getting used to the work routine to be honest Curtis. You hit the nail on the head :) These relaxed college hours :) At college my week is like this: Monday + Tuesday 9-5 but wednesday I get the 1:30 train home and Thursday I finish at 2 but get the 3:30 train home and Friday is my day of so pretty relaxed week :)

Working full time and training frequently is tough. Try it with two small children :D

As you start life in the big wide world though you should develop more of a work ethic anyway and you won't be so bothered about tiredness. Also, if you're successful in droping that 42lbs of fat you're aiming at then you'll have a ton of extra energy.

College hours are LOL IMO. I do 19 hours a week, work 15-20 hours a week in part time job, and then have the rest of the time to do what I like (gym, eating etc, along with some hobbies).

;)

Started bike trials up. Not sure if any of you know much about it. Very tiring. Good thought. Alot of hoping around and courses to do. Very good fun though. Best thing is you can be so exhausted but want to keep riding as its so fun :)
