And I said I would never use Creatine... /facepalm

I’ve read the “Sticky: Must Read about Creatine!” however I want to know if using creatine is good in my situation. Basically I lost 100 pounds and then started lifting weights. When I lost the weight, according to my doctor and others I lost the weight relatively fast, as in lost the first 90 pounds in 9 months fast. As of right now I have some slight to little lose skin I will post pics at the bottom of the post.

Right now at the moment I lift very faithfully and disciplined about it, as I was disciplined while losing weight. I noticed my strength improves very rapidly, but the looks are not so great. What I figured, based on my research via forums and speaking to other people. Using creatine would help in some way with my lose skin.

Personally, when I think of creatine in a nutshell, I think of it as an “inflator”, increases water weight, you get some size with it while using it, and when you STOP using it your size that you gained from the start of creatine deflates. If I remember correctly some dude years ago when I was in high school died while using it. I also remember it just being all around bad for you body.

I’ve always vowed to NEVER use creatine, however in the current physical situation I am in right now, I’m willing to break that vow. I’m already going to go with the cheapest Creatine Monohydrate at GNC that’s only going to cost me like 6-7 dollars, and Im going to mix it in my post protein shake. 1 tablespoon is 5g of creatine and based on the sticky I read here is all I need for the day.

Am I “doing it right”, and is it worth it based one what I deduced for my usage of creatine?

I don't know how creatine would help with lose skin. Creatine will pull some extra water into the muscles and make them bigger, which could make your skin tighter. It could be worth a try.

And creatine isn't overall bad for your body, and the water retention is just a side effect because the creatine pulls water into the muscles when it is transported in. When the creatine is in the muscles it will help you lift more. Bluntly put.

Yeah, it won't help you lose the skin, but it may appear so by making your muscles fuller, no doubt.

But in your situation, I'd just focus on gaining some muscle mass. Period. Losing skin by exercise and eating habits is pretty tough from what I know. I think surgically is the only realistic option... someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Anyways, yeah... you need to gain back some weight, but not fat... quality muscle! Seems contradictory after you worked your butt off to lose all that fat but in the end, I think it'll be worth it.
