Sport an interesting article on chocolate

Sport Fitness
I just found a page that seems to be promoting the eating of chocolate as a good source of carbs before and after workouts. it also talks about long term benefits of doing this.

anyone have any opinions on this?

take a look:

I will admit upfront I didn't read it but......Cadbury.com?? They make the chocolate :D

i know what you mean, but I still think it's worth a read. however unlikely it is there still may be some facts behind what they're saying

hey, you never know LOL. i have to see more proof

i do have one buddy who does a piece of chocolate every night before bed with his milk and cottage cheese and believe me it has no ill effects on his whatsowhatever :D

i hear that dark chocolate is good for the heart. so if you're going to eat chocolate then it should be this.

is this true?

i've heard it can lower blood pressure and has antioxidants in it that lower cholesterol. there have been studies done that have proven this. so long as it is eaten in moderation then i think it is fine.

isnt that a certain type of chocolate? not like candy bar stuff but the real genuine article or something to that effect?

Dark Chocolate is what you want if you are going to eat chocolate. Like Blueberries it has Antioxidants which work by neutralizing unstable free radicals- oxygen molecules that can be produces by environmental pollutants as well as the body's own metabolism.

most of your candy bars out there are milk chocolate or something else, though they to have antioxidants you would have to eat much more to get the benefits of Dark.

Dark is good for a treat but stick to the good foods if you looking to battle. Here is the top 20 list from CBS News
