Today is a new start. I found this website recently and found everyone to be very encouraging and supportive. I am hoping to find the same. I am currently 21, 5'5'' and 157 pounds. I use to be 172 but lost some weight, however, i still look the same. feel the same. my bad days are starting to attack me again. feeling completely lonely and dreadful especially when there's people around. i hope this new beginning can help. my goal is to lose another 14 pounds by summer. (around June)

Thank You

Welcome Amy glad to have you with us :) i know how hard it is to have a positive outlook when we feel bad, but this is a great place to start :) we will encourage you and support you anyway we can. i have found a great bunch of ladies(and men)here, and my out look on things has totally turned around. good luck to you :)

We are in a very similar place and have very similiar goals! we can do this!!! I strongly suggest that you post food/ exercise stuff in here.. it has helped me so much to keep track of everything and to have that great encouragment from other forum members.

I'm glad that you have joined us, and good luck!!!

thanks for the encouraging words. i worked out for 30 minutes this morning but just got back from a big dinner. =/ i want to go work out again but i have to study =/

i've been eating a lot today =/ but it's because i'm stressing about midterms
today i ate:
2 bagels and cream cheese (850)
, 1 serving of chocolate soymilk (160)
, a veggie turkey sandwhich (2 bread plus 4 slices of veggie turkey) (400)
, a slim fast candy bar (120)
, noodles (270)

850 160 400 120 270 = 1800

i didn't work out =/ i need to work out. sigh
i'm not sure what my calorie needs are...

what do you guys thing?

(i'm 158 pounds 5'6'' female) 33% BMI - trying to lose 20 pounds of fat

i've been over eating the last few days, erg. i'm so frustrated. my upper body fat is going away. i wish i can just burn it all off erg.

I think your ok staying at 1800 cals as long as you do cardio and resistance training along with it. take some measurments too bc some times the scale doesnt say anything nice but your inches will go down. :)

I think for you at the size your at..you dont have too far to go, resistance, toning and some weights would be ideal..you would tone and really look the way you want to no matter what the scale says...
