so currently, i play basketball mon, wed, fri at my college's recreation center. on tues and thurs i shoot around for a bit then go work out. currently i do back/shoulders on tues and chest/tri on thurs. after the workouts on tues and thurs, i started doing HIIT. my goal is just to look good from working out and getting more explosive/faster for basketball. for HIIT i have been doing kettlebells swings and body squats with the kettlebell from the swings:
warm up 15 secs
swings 40 sec
squats 40 sec
swings 40 sec
squats 40 sec

(also i think im going to start doing the body squats over those half medicine ball things so that it works my core more)
and then that finishes my workout. will this be beneficial to my goals of looking good (shredded or whatever) and getting more explosive/faster for basketball? im around 145 lbs at 5'8 (ive got naturally tree trunk calves and a big butt) and i play basketball a lot so im not fat but not shredded either. im asking for anyone to give me any tips to improve my workout and help me toward my goals. thank you!
