Sport Am I eating enough ??

Sport Fitness
background: 6ft'1in 177lbs age: 19
moderate activity (at least 30-60min per day of weight lifting + walking my husky for a 20 -30 min try to keep a nice fast pace)

says i need to be eating 2600- 2850 calories per day, but somehow with all that food im eating i think i am only getting 1000- 2000 calories per day except the one day i had a sirlion steak at Applebees! I know this is low calorie intake per day which is why i am concerned. I have been mainly trying to bulk up physically but mentally i think my mind is still set on losing the last few pounds of fat which seem to bother me since its flabby. (went on a crash diet and lost ton of weight fast 1 year ago)

Here is my food intake for my first week back at the gym: (+ 1 mega man sport's multi- vitamin pill each day ) - not keeping track of servings but its about 30 - 40g protein , 20 - 40g carbs each meal (4-6 meals per day)

day 1: bowl of cereal + milk + 4 piece chicken + 2 brown wheat buns + 2 cups orange juice + lettuce/tuna/corn

day 2: cereal/milk/3chicken breast (20g protein each)/tuna/salad/ can of corn/apple

day 3: egg whites / peppers / 1/2 cup cranberry juice/ whey protein + banana / 3 chicken + brocolli/ handful of almonds

day 4:eggs/ veggies/ 5oz fajita beef/ 1whey protein/ 1orange/ tuna or chickn

day 5:mozerella cheese / 2 toast/brown rice packge/ can of tuna/ salad/2chickn/1whey prtn/ 1 orange /1 banana/ canned spinach

so far the diet has not been helping me much with bulking i think, which is why i think should switch to more cardio / less weight lifting instead?
My metabolism has increased greatly , but i am still at the same weight.

any suggestions ?? thanks!:hug2:

That doesn't really seem to be 2600-2850 kcals a day. If you are trying to bulk, then you need a caloric surplus.

Get a FitDay account (they're free) and keep a food journal. That will give you a really good idea of what you are actually taking in, as our perceptions can often be way off.

What would be your reasoning for decreasing weight lifting if you are trying to bulk?

so far a bit less than 2 weeks into my training i've lost 3 -4lbs or so, and feel stronger, but i fear in the long run i won't wreak (spelling??) as much benefits? i think i will take ur advice about using fitday , but i dont know if im going to bulk because i want to lose the weight (lost about 35kg in the past and am left with flaby fat and skin) ,,, while keeping some muscle up. I eat mainly protein and very little starchy carbs or fats throughout the day.
thanks for the reply once again deschain. also any other thoughts?

i think it would be dangerous to go under 2000 calories a day for a teen of your status. make sure you are eating enough or you wont do yourself any good.
i say you just bulk up. :] at your height, that weight is very reasonable.
read the nutritional stickies and learn about nutrition and weight training.

LMAO, the first time I read it I thought you'd posted one days intake! I was wondering why people were saying you weren't eating enough

For a week though that isn't enough really. I think you need to think things over and decide on a goal. You can't bulk if you're worrying about gaining weight, it'll be very ineffective. If you want to bulk try going up to about 3,500 Kcals a day (top of head number)

what if

what if , what if .. you can burn 3000 calories per day.
and another - 500 deficit in diet..
is it possible to lose 1lbs / day?

just a what if.
