so like iv posted, im 21 and around 360, im prolly eating around 1800 calories a day..

is that enough? or to little?

i need the truth

well around 1800 doesn't really do it, why not tomorrow write down everything you eat, the serving size/calories and then post it in here.

I would think 1800 would be too little but i'm no expert honestly. My doctor told me i shoudl be on a 2,400 calorie diet at 246 (yay 2 pounds gone), but i'm stubborn.. so anyway... Maybe it woudl help to see what type of foods you are eatting and how much that would equal to the 1800 calories.

I probably eat around 1800 myself, 17 and just under 188lbs. But I feel as if my portions are large enough when I'm eating them ?

yogurt in the morning with fruit, a lil wheat and turky n cheese sanwich for a snack and then a grilled chicken sandwich about a 6 inch sandwich for lunch on multigrain, and then dinner anywhere from chicken to meat to pork with a vegatable and sometimes a starch. zero calories from liquids. and i finish the day with a sugar free fudge pop

it fills me up, and im not sleepy or weak. i can work out perfectly...

I'd change your breakfast if you want to fine tune,
yogurt = sugar, and if it's fat free it will promote fat storate
fruit = sugar, again, only good for just before/after a workout
Something like oats is good, it might be kcal heavy, but it's a great complex carb :)

I would also skip the yogurt and fruit in the morning...try a complex carb like oatmeal or Kashi bar. The other thing that I would try would be eat your protien and carbs seperately. Eating every 3 hours is a big help too. Think of your metabolism as a fire. If you feed it a little, lots of times..it stays steady, instead of going hard, then slowing down. Don't eat any less calories, you will put your body in starvation mode and your body will keep the calories for storage. I am not an expert but this is what my nutritionist tells me and it has been working. Also, try two days at 1800 calories and then one day at 2000 calories, then back down to 1800 calories for 2-3 days. Hope this helps, let me know if it works for you!!
