Am I doing this right?

So I'm only about a month into my new regime and while thins are going well I want to make certain I'm on the right track so I don't end up here in a month or two all burnt out and stuck in a plateau.

I'm a 5'5 242 lbs female.
I do at least 45 mins of cardio every day and and half hour of resistant and weights every other day or every third depending on how my body feels. I have dumbells weighing two and three pounds, a resistance band, yoga ball and no access to a gym.

I eat aprox 1800 calories a day ( somedays a little less and somedays a little more but never more than 1900)

Like I said I'm only about a month in but I seem to be losing at least a pound a week which I'm happy with. I just need to know if I'm on the right track. I think i'm eating plenty and working out a reasonable amount but I can't be sure. it gets results but it may not be the best results i could or should be getting and I'd rather know now then later.

I'd also like to know if, when I do start to stop losing weight I should up my routine first or cut another 100 or so calories first?

Well you are lucky. You're eating a reasonable amount, exercising regularly and being paid off with steady weight loss. I say stick with it til it stops working, and then either lower the calories just a bit or increase the exercise, either will probably keep things going. I would go buy some higher weights though, you dont get much resistance on 2 or 3 lbs after a little while. You can get cheap 5 and 10 lbs weights as well, just do less repetitions. You will definitely see better results with a bit higher weight.

Good to know and I'll look into getting some heavier weights though the 3 lbs are still a bugger to lift somedays.
