Hello! I'm new here, and I'm honestly looking for some desperate help.

I'm completely new to weight loss. I want to lose 40 - 60 pounds in about 6 months/ 1 year. I've tried multiple times to lose weight, but this time, I'm serious. I started this journey not only for myself, but also for my boyfriend. I've gained a insane amount of weight after he left, and next year, we are going to be together again. He will love me no matter what, but I want to love myself.

I currently weigh 210 pounds. I ate junk constantly, drank no water, a ton of soda, milk, and paid no attention to eating anything healthy. Until roughly a month ago.

For the last month, I've been eating about 1,300-1,800 calories daily. I never starve myself. I eat every three hours, and more times than not, they're all full plates. I mostly eat chicken and a medley of vegetables, though switch my protein on occasion. I've given up soda completely. Although I still eat bread and potatoes, I eat much less than I used to. I've been trying my best to exercise 5 - 7 times a week. It's either for 23 minutes or 46 (recently only 23). I still eat chips, but I've gotten a brand that's much less fatty. I've replaced all my guilt food with healthier alternatives. And I've drank nothing but water and tea.

It's been nearly a month now. I've lost half an inch off my waist, but I'm still insanely scared. Will I see results even though now I'm slacking slightly? Will I reach my target weight by next year if I stick with this? I really need reassurance. Thank you so much!

It sounds like your doing all the right things. when you don't see the results straight away it can be disheartening, but you've done it for a month now so well done on you. I'm only on day one lol.
I've read somewhere that sometimes your body can put up a resistant to change but eventually the results will get better as long as you keep up what your doing.

Awesome lady ‼️You can do it you have motivation.. that man is coming back‼️.. let me tell you a few things.. the eating often is awesome.. great for reducing the release of cortisol... keep it up.. but if you still think you are eating a lot at the times you are eating .. you could .. try to eat less..&.. then more often again.. say 2- hours... may be smaller snacks .. as you will be eating again ‼️soon.. eat slow as it will let the body realize it is being fed.. turn your metabolism into a revved machine..

To burn fat this is a slow metabolic process. Honestly you burn the most fat during activities that are sustainable .. slow walks.. however.. you can increase the calorie expenditure by a interval routine... walk slow 5 minutes.. add in a high intensity walk for 1 minute.. then back to the lower intensity ..&.. repeat as can..

Let me include EPOC.. what you say ⁉️.. excess post exercise oxygen consumption .. during the exercise routine your body went into an oxygen debt .. this can increase your metabolism for a time after the exercise bout .. depending on intensity and duration .. within the muscle tissue there was a accumulation of lactic acid production .. as oxygen was not always available to the tissues .. creating the debt which created the lactic acid .. after exercise your metabolism is higher as in the fact that you are consuming oxygen at higher rate to clear out his lactic acid ..

Please forgive me... must mention.. for those who are trying to lose a larger amount of weight.. you must take into consideration your skin.. you don't want to go from one problem to another.. include weightlifting .. this will give your skin more area to attach to.. pull the skin up & tighter..
