hi

Kathy,

A few words of advice:

1. Watch your portions; you may not know but may be you are eating too little or too much I dont know. Every body knows that eating too much causes you to put on weight; but I have also read the not eating enough also does not help; I believe you do not lose wt. So make sure you are eating the right amount of calories.

2. Watch the contents/ingredients of what you eat. Include fruits;veggies.

3. Write down what you eat.

4. Add more lean protein to your diet egg whites; chicken; fish; try and avoid read meats.

5. When you have salads cut out on the heavy dressings; if you need to use dressings do not drizzle on top of the salad use it as a dip you will tend to eat less. Try and use dressings like balsamic vinegar and other low fat or no fat dressings.

Of course you are drinking a lot of water and excercising; there is no way you an fail. Good luck on your journey.

doing enough

I found the easiest way to keep track of what I eat and how many calories I'm burning is to use FitDay.com (or a simular program of your choice) to record everything .:p When I first started on my diet I recorded everything I ate (I thought that I was eating less that day but discovered I had consumed 4860 calories in one day. lol I sure discovered one of my diet problems.)

Since then I have been able to have a better judgement of how many calories I am eating and burning up. I also have a more balanced diet as a result. Give Fitday.com a try.
