Alright, what caused this plateau?

Hey, I've been doing my own diet plan for a number of weeks now, and it seems as though I didn't lose any weight this week. As expected, I'm incredibly frustrated and enraged. I've barely been eating, I can't stress that enough. Most of my caloric intake is on my dinner. Therefore I assume with the help of basal metabolic rate I should've lost. I've also been exercising here and there, but not excessively, as I didn't think it was necessary. Perhaps I'm wrong in saying that. I've posted a topic in the past on my success with my current plan, but I've added two things to my diet: a 20 calorie superfruit chew and one cup of green tea. Honestly I don't see how either of the two could possibly affect me, especially the green tea which I add nothing but water in. Anyway...possible answers appreciated.

Bodies are weird. 1 week is in no way a plateau tho. Its not uncommon to go weeks with no weight loss.

I would say a "plateau" is like 4-6 weeks.

1 week is nothing. Next week you may lose a lot, you may gain, you may stay still be stuck.

Just a quick idea....why don't you try to take most of your calories in during lunch and the earlier part of the day? People don't tend to burn many calories during the evening, as after eating, they tend to chill, watch tv, go to sleep, etc. Perhaps shifting the time of your main meal of the day might make a little difference. And one week of maintaining weight is not too bad, you need to wait it out a little bit more to see the difference. Good luck.

Yeah, that is not a plateau. A plateau is several weeks of not losing. One week is nothing at all. Mostly likely it's water weight or something. Or your body is just doing what I call a "stick and whoosh" where you won't see any loss one week, then you'll drop 5 pounds the next.

Bodies are weird, they don't really like to drop weight. It's not a steady drop, even if it seems it should be. Oh, and don't worry about when you eat. The body doesn't reset at midnight and automatically turn any calories you didn't burn into fat. It's all averages and it all takes a little time for your body to do.

Although, I would like to know what you mean about "barely" eating.
