Alone

Hey,

My names' Rebecca. I've been wanting to get into better shape for awhile now. Since my 3 year old born in all reality. Recently my husband got a really good job but is gone for extended periods, so I decided that this would be a good time to start. I want to get into a better shape and want to surprise him and make him proud. I started a 30 day work out about a week ago. I haven't really told anyone I know that I'm doing this, (mostly because of the negativity I get from most family members telling me I can't do it I won't do it because they never could etc.) but I'm finding it hard to stay true to it everyday. So far I've done well, I do my work out six days rest one. I've changed my diet slightly not much. Mostly I've cut out most of the fast food and soda I don't want to do to much at once and completely overwhelm myself. Anyway I do find it hard and I find myself needing someone to talk to or be around for support. I just want to be able to come out of the blue and be like "Hey yeah you said I couldn't do it and I did."

Congratulations on the first step of your journey Rebecca! I'm just starting out too , so don't worry you're not alone!

You're not alone here. We will be there every step of the way. Welcome to the community. No negativity here, just us wanting to see you achieve your goals and being happy. I believe in you, I know you want this, I know you'll get there and show the negative ones anything is possible.

Welcome.

Soda is one of my issues as well. So much Sugar in it, and if you don't burn it the body wants to store it for energy. I know when I did not watch myself I could easily have two liters of it in a day. Proud to say I have gone about 6 weeks with only drinking two. Its a big change, and surprisingly I don't miss the soda all that much now that I am used to not drinking it everyday.

That's fantastic. That's a truly reassuring thing to hear as well. Congrats on your accomplishment with that too.

That is a great quote. I've never seen that movie I'll have to watch it. Thank you for your support and very welcoming words. It's very inspiring and helpful to me just to be able to come here and just read and re-read this to myself when I feel like saying that's it I'm done. This seems like an awesome community of people so far. :waving:

Well, Rebecca, I -do- think you can do it.

Cutting out fast food and soda is a great first step, lots of wasted calories there.
