Okay, so I'm trying desperately to finally get my weight under control. For years I've had my family telling me I'm not overweight, I'm 'shapely'. Only problem being that shapely when you're 5'0" is 125. Which I am not. I'm finding it incredibly hard to lose any of the weight because I currently still live at home with my family (keeps the college fees down) and my family are not interested in removing the temptation of those cupcakes or those fruit gushers. So I need something to help me stop from going to the pantry and pulling out a cupcake or bag of oreos...

So here's to trying one more time, and hopefully this time around the dieting with support will stick. Though I still wish there was some magical way to curb my obsessive eating tendancies (eating when bored even if I'm not hungry...) so if anyone has any fairy dust or tips to make this less difficult, I'm all ears.

Welcome, you will do great now that you have made the decision to change.

Thanks rfire. I really hope so. I'm trying to remember to keep some sort of log of foods and activities because I've been told that helps.

kitty its alway going to be hard when living with family. They aren't on a diet and probably wont change. you just have to try your best to muddle through all the sugar.....keep it up.............

Thanks lee, I'm going to try my hardest. I'm hoping that living with all the temptation will eventually help me because maybe I'll get to a point where that food doesn't look so good to me anymore, so I'll be able to withstand it all later too.

Reading threads right now because I definitely just turned down that strawberry cupcake for breakfast and the doughnuts. Mmm... me and my yummy orange and cheerios *sigh*
