after running - left leg much more sore than right leg

I think I'm pushing off with my left leg more than my right leg, I can't think of another reason. My left leg is much more sore, my right leg I don't really feel anything besides anything minor. My left leg feels completely different, I can only feel it when I start walking. I just started running/excercising last week. Don't know if it's since I just started, but my right leg should feel the same. Is this common or is it since I have bad form?

Possibly bad form that could come from bad posture. Or possibly you injured that leg some time in the past. Or your shoes on that foot is not fitting correctly.

do you tie your shoes every time you put them on, or do you have them tied to slip on?

If i have my shoe too tight, it makes my leg sore.

AND, if i don;t tie them tight enough, I liek to slip on and off, they give me a shin splint pain.

Also depending on what you are wearing for socks...

JUST CONSIDER BLOOD FLOW. that's the point i think i'm trying to make.

Experience is hard to share sometimes.

Hmmm thats interesting. I wonder if you have a leg length discrepancy? I do, and before I got orthotics My left leg in general experienced much more grief than my right one, from hip flexors to knees, to shins to general soreness and fatigue. Turns out its my left leg thats shorter and has to compensate quite a bit for my more dominant leg (the right). Once I got orthotics things evented out nicely. Just a possibility.

sparrow... interesting... I'll have to look into that myself...

One thing I wanted to point out... when I started to run last year... my left leg bugged me more... my left achiles tendon was just on fire at times... and the right... didn't bug me... over time that went away... and this year might right leg is causing me problems... it was a groin pull... now knee pain...

I don't think this is abnormal... pay attention to when you run... make sound when your feet strike... like boom, boom, boom... do it out loud... it should be uniform... it shouldn't sound like... bump BUMP...... bump Bump.... and even if it is evenly spaced... one foot strike shouldn't sound louder or be more forceful...

if you run with somebody... try matching their stride for a while... this helped me develop a more uniform turnover...

it might not be something to worry about... it could just be that one leg was stronger... especially if you just started running....

--- edit ---

when making boom boom noises do so when running alone... or be subject to strange looks... also this is not intended to solve a problem to as a tool to help diagnose the problem... well... unless you like running while saying boom boom boom... lol...
