Sport after my workout

Hello all!
I'm new to this site and decided to post something i guess :\
I'm 20 years old i'm 5'7 and weigh 143lb, i go to the gym everyday i mostly just do weights and carido bench and all that what not. (i do a different muscle group everday i.e. Chest + core monday, traps, shoulders carido tues, arms +core wed, back + carido thurs, whatever i want friday + core, legs + carido sat, and then basically repeat)
what i'm worried about is after my workout and what i eat.
what i usually do after my workout when i get home is either have a bowl of cereal or a bagel or toast with margrine on it. after that i'm scared to really eat anything else sounds stupid i know but it's how i feel what should i really be doing. i want to know so i can start eating properly without knowing i'm going to be over eating or starving myself.
what i'd think is i'd like to start throwing in fruit into my eating schduel or make a salad or something.. idk.. you're imput would be greatly apreciated :)
 
Well, you definitely need more protein after your workout. And better more quality food. Fruit, vegetables, whole grain, chicken, tuna, rice, olive oil and so on. You are what you eat and eating cereal or margarine will not make you a quality athlete. You need to eat every 3 hours, carbs, protein and fat to every meal. It's dangerous to withhold the body from healthy food while working out and that wont get you the results that you want.
